Bugg

Our Bugg model is all about high performance surfing in all types of waves from 2-5ft. This board is a labour of love between Howie and one of Tassie’s most powerful top to bottom surfers Clifton’s beach’s Luke Bugg. The Bugg comes rock ‘n’ roll ready will hard edges, deep concaves and has plenty of curve and personality to destroy any section in front of you. This board is best suited to intermediate to advanced surfer or for anyone who wants to push the limits of their rail to rail surfing.

Tail Option

Howie recommends a Rounded Square tail for the 'Bugg' model, which comes as standard. However, if you prefer an alternate / specific tail shape, be sure to place your order via our CUSTOM ORDER FORM. Note: This model also performs well when ordered as: Swallow Tail : Fast down the line.

Outline

Narrow nose area, with a little area 12 inch in the tail forward. This outline carries a fuller shape from 12 inches in the tail forward to the 12 inches in the nose. With all the area of this shape being between your feet allows the floatation of this design to perform at a high level in small to medium size waves. The narrow nose and tail shape give less resistance and the feeling of riding and smaller board with more response.

Rail

Mid boxy A fuller shape in the rail creates a flatter deck giving the board more bouncy and a smoother feel under your feet.

Concave

Deep single and double concave The concave being positioned in the curviest part of the rocker combines to provide speed and flow in and out of turns.

Rocker

Mid to low nose rocker with a high tail rocker. The low nose rocker helps paddle power and flow forward through flat sections. The lift in the tail gets you tight in the pocket with flow in and out of manoeuvres.
