DFSB

Double Flyer Swallow Baby. This is Howie's Shapes high performance fish, designed for carving up waves in the 2 - 4 foot range. This board is fuller in the nose with a parallel back half of the outline that steps into a double flyer which pulls the tail into the rocket swallow tail. The rocker and bottom design work together to cut through any dead section. The Double Flyer Swallow Baby is all about adding speed and flow on the front foot and plenty of response on the back foot. Howie Recommends: Ride 2 to 3 inches shorter, 1/2 to 3/4 wider and the same thickness as your standard short board.

Tail Option

Howie recommends a Rocket Swallow tail for the 'DFSB' model, which comes as standard. However, if you prefer an alternate / specific tail shape, be sure to place your order via our CUSTOM ORDER FORM. Note: This model also performs well when ordered as: Rounded Square Tail : Stable yet forgiving.

Outline

Full in the nose and wide with double flyers pulling the tail in to semi wide tail block. Small mushy waves need volume and this caters for that in the area through the nose and the performance in the pulled in tail.

Rail

Mid soft boxy. Less deck in the rail. Not as full in the rail allowing you to surf this board in larger dimensions with full performance rail to rail surfing.

Concave

Single double concave to spiral vee out through the tail. Shallow nose entry of single concave, deepest just behind centre point combining with double concave between your feet for speed and power blending into the spiral vee exiting the tail for controlled slide.

Rocker

Low yet flipped nose and tail. Long flat section for forward speed and tip and tail flipped to fit manoeuvres in tight curves on small waves.
